Hi all,
if anyone has seen my previous posts about my lami horse. Got the farrier coming today to hopefully put his shoes back on or think about supportive shoeing.
Horse came in very footy, had farrier, vet etc to test, box rest then turned out past week on restricted grazing. In the process of care of my horse I have fallen out with everyone else on the yard, with whom I dared disagree about my horses' care. I have a young breastfeeding baby to look after too so am really struggling.
Went up Saturday and brought horse in, thoroughly checked, seemed ok. Trotted up sound unshod on tarmac. Loaner checked Sunday and thought he was fine. I went up yesterday and THOUGHT horse was a little tender in coronet area... but wasn't sure if he was moving his foot because he is trained to lift his foot for hoof picking... So if he's tender today then he will not be having shoes. If that's the case and it's recurred then it will be another vet visit. I can't restrict his grazing completely where we are so I am going to have to find somewhere else to keep him
and quick. Which may mean I lose my loaner as she can't drive...
All because someone decided my horse's greenguard was ineffective and took it off without telling me
Please send me good vibes!!!! Thank you!!!
