Hi has anybody ever had their horse / pony unrinate whilst in canter ??? My boy does especially in stressful situations . He has been fully checked out by Rossdales and also Glenwoods in Newmarket , so I can safely say he has no medical reason to do this , its rather like a puppy getting so excited he pees himself , the only trouble is hes 9 yrs old .

I can safely say I have never heard of this - but if there's anywhere to find someone who has, it's on here

i once had a pony in for rebacking that had been a right git and had bullied his owners when he found he couldnt bully us he began to pee whilst moving when he was stressed or angry very odd but nothing wrong with him

The only horse I know of that did this turned out to have tumours and was pts but if Rossdales cant find anything (did they canter him on a treadmill??) Im stumped too.

Hi , hes perfectly sound , but rossdales did descibe him as "wind up toy " , I have heard of it in race horses especially mares and have seen it in a couple of jumping ponies who were again mares !!! maybe hes just in touch with his femine side lol !!!!

Only time I have seen this happen is when I turned out our pony with a horse who decided to beat the living daylights out of him...... they had been socialised with a fence between, but when it was removed the big (17.3hh) horse decided to kill my little 13.2hh pony

He literally peed himself through fear, it was pitiful

Rest assured my little boy is a happy chap , and gets on with everyone , the amazing thing is he can pee himself over a jump!!! and clear it no problems , rossdales did tell me to ignore it and over time it probably will stop ........
