Went down to get my chap in this evening. All was fine, he was happy in his field and munching away! Made a fuss of him and got on with Poo picking his little paddock and water etc. Went to get him in and put him into bed. Really awful to bring in - kept stopping and itching like a mad man! tied him on the yard and before my eyes he was covered in hives, and Itching all over, belly, neck, back, head everywhere!! Have given him puritin and left him in his box to settle ( a couple of girls are keeping an eye until I go back!) and then will go back in abit to rug up and check him! Its it normal for this to happen so quickly?

Yes, my old mare came up in huge lumps (ie half tennis ball size) once very quickly....under an hour. She was really bad though and needed a steroid injection. No idea what caused it.
