I love it! More to the point, it would appear Patches does too.

from the moment I put the bridle on, I thought things looked good. She didn't snatch and chomp on the bit. She just stood there smacking her lips! She pretty much smacked her lips all the way around our hack too. Looked like me when I'm sucking a tarty hard boiled sweet!

She was very light in the hand, no leaning or snatching and I felt I had more control, with less of a contact....in that I felt there was no argument if that makes sense?

On removing the bridle, the bit was very drooly foamed up so I would assume it'd been well mouthed.

Very happy so far.

Here she is after we returned.

Indeedy Louise! Woohooo!!!

It's too early to say if it's a one off, but I've never seen her smack her lips like she was sucking something yummy before...ever! I'm quietly optimistic. Been searching for a new bit for Patches for a while to fine tune how she goes.

I did feel guilty though when it became apparent from talking to H at Neue Schule that Patches wasn't suited to a single jointed bit and was likely suffering discomfort from the nutcracker action causing the bit to hit the roof of her mouth. All that time I've had her in a flash because I've thought she was evading the bit...not trying to tell me that she was feeling genuine discomfort. Very guilty.

I have this bit, and used it on the bottom hole for the first time today. I was amazed at how much more control i had.
Neue schule bits are great, i usually ride in their starter bit, which my boy goes really well in too.

Glad you have got her sorted.

Used the NS baucher on Baron on the advise "that he went so much better in it" by his owners - didnt notice a difference

It's a universal with a waterford mouthpiece. Will use it for hacking and I've got the leather curb strap for times when I go for a blast over open fields (combined with it on the lower ring!) I intend to get the other bit for schooling when the fields start drying up. Not schooling at present apart from out on hacks. Boo hoo!

I think it'll be enough control. She really seemed to like it. Glad to hear so many others are pleased with their neue schule's too.
