I order a pair of TSS leather T Bar dressage leathers from Saddlery4u.

Does anyone have a pair of these? Neither end of the leathers will go through the stirrup slot nor do they fiT any other stirrups on the yard!!

What good are they if they won't even go through the stirrup, I'm fuming after waiting 3 weeks for them to arrive.

Not sure what I should do now, any suggestions?

I think I'm going to send them back because they're clearly not fit for purpose. I kept thinking I was being a numpty and attempting to put them on incorrectly, but they just don't bloody fit anything. they weren't cheap either Grrr.

I have T bars and I love them. I feel they're so much less bulky under my leg than normal leathers. mine were sold to me by wow saddle lady so may be different to yours, but I never had much problems with threading them through, although I have to admit they are not really easy to thread. used them with bendy stirrups from Korsteel I think and with plastic ones from Decathlon, no problemo :)

Loop a piece of string through the hole in the stirrup, through the leather and back through the hole again and wiggle it through. You'll love them really, when you figure it out.

I have the bates ones on my dressage saddle and really wouyld not use anything else they are fab! Getting the loop on the stirrup bar can be shall we say challenging. I left my old leathers on and pulled them outwards so the bar came away from the saddle a bit then slide the loop on and pull the other one off properly. I'm bob at describing things so that prob didn't make any sense. I never had any problems fitting them thru stirrups. x

You will probably find you are putting them on wrong - this is what I did initially. Put on correctly, they should fit most saddles/stirrups. I found the package instructions really confusing but got it eventually.

The leather loop should just slide straight onto the stirrup bar and the leather itself should just go through the hole in the stirrup and lock onto the back. Then slide the cover down over it to make it look smart. They are confusing the way they put them in the packet but I hope you get them sorted. They are nice to ride in as less bulky and very smart for dressage. Also easy to switch holes!

Thanks all.

I had no prob getting the leather over the stirrup bar but it is imposssible to thread the end through the slot of the stirrup, if that makes sense.
