Using human tablets on horses

So, today, in Poundland, I saw odourless garlic tablets and also glucosomine ones, for humans, but I wondered if they'd be ok to pop in horse's feed? Does anybody do this?

I do with Glucosamine, you need to give them a few though

most human tablets are fine to give to the horses just check with your vet as to how many depenant on the size of the horse

Ok numpty question time!

But do you feed them whole? I am interested in feeding the Glucosimine tablets as my mare is on the Horsey version and its costing me a bomb! How much would you feed?
