Hi there! Tomorrow is the big day when we find out if our new Haflinger boy is going to get on with our old welsh cob mare!! I had asked for advice over this and thanks for all the help - I think we are just going to see how they are on the day. HOWEVER, one woman said to me that she uses sedative (sedalin) when she introduces horses, as they then just stand there feeling too dopy to fight and by the time they come round, they can't be bothered to start! I am a bit shocked by this as really you would have thought that they NEED to sort out who is the leader right from the start. I wonder what anyone else thinks? You couldn't just give it to one of them as then the other would definitely take control and it might not necessarily be the correct one. Am I missing a trick or is everyone else as horrified by this as I am?
