Using waffle cooler as lightweight stable rug

Hello!

I'm looking for your opinion about this, please.

I sometimes think that my horse only needs a very thin and lightweight stable rug on overnight, even thinner than his cotton summer sheet.

Do you think the 'cooling' effect of a waffle would lead to any built-up warmth to just evaporate away from his body, or would it provide a little bit of warmth?

Sorry for waffling on...

Thanks :)

Mine is in one atm as it's too cold for no rug but not cold enough for her proper stable one. She was nice and toasty in it this morning despite it being blooming freezing :)

My boy is in his at the mo. he is trace clipped and sweats in a fleece, let alone a stable rug. He will be full clipped this weekend and will probably go to a fleece but no more. I love his cooler because it does keep him warm but stops him sweating when it gets that bit warmer

Thank you for all your replies! Sorry for not saying thanks sooner. I've been crazily busy over the last few days and haven't had time to do it until now.
