Another weekend of no riding for my son, it's hammering down again, and bottom field is a lake! Not of biblical proportions so I should not moan, but I just want a few hours respite for him to ride... Horse detests the wind and rain and won't work for him. Tried lunging her but she turned bum to wind and stood there looking at me saying please can we go in now!!!

We do seem to have skipped winter though!

Mine are living in at the moment thanks to the field being so waterlogged and churned up as a result. My native came in covered in mud up to the belly I had to power hose her AND her rug off! Much happier in with hay anyway and soon be out 24/7 :)

It says a lot when you have to wash rug when on horse before you can undo it!!!!
I had to brush mine down with dandy brush today, headcolar ( field one) is in washer it's minging.

Seriously fed up with the weather as well, its storm after storm. I feel for the people flooded out, there seems no end to these storms.

Another one coming in next week :( will it ever stop. Hang on in there guys. Spring, and hopefully a dry breezy spring, is coming. We need some crisp dry breezy(note i dont say windy) weather followed by bright dry breezy(note no mention of windy again) spring to "hopefully"get the ground under control again x

Yes I feel for Somerset people and have sent a donation, my mums cousins daughter is flooded out of her farm, and her sheep are lodging at the beast market pens for a while.

Romany . I know only words but I am thinking of all. I have posted on somerset breaking news to get the appeal fund known nationally.I didnt know till today there is one(im in lancs).why is it not publisiesd(sp) It isnt just help now these people need but long term. Esp the farmers. donated and buying some good basic amimal feed to. x

Another one whose fed up. I'm trying to b positive by being appreciative of the lovely summer we had last year and hoping for at least a dry one this year. I did that look back video thing on fb and all my posts were about the weather so I'm trying to accept it and get on with it as I clearly spend too much time talking about it wen it's completely outta my control!

I am so fed up! I feel so guilty and like such a bad mum! The winter fields although they're open at my place are just horrendous and he will not go out in them and the weather is just not what he wants to work in. Stuck in for 4 days this week and only lunged for an hour a day the other 3, it's a good job he's a good boy in the stable and enjoys some grooming for attention! Roll on summer think we've all had enough! :(

Chin up everyone! I know it's utterly dreadful especially for those in the West Country. BUT their are big fat buds on the trees just waiting to burst in to life, snowdrops are in full flower, daffs and crocuses are poking their heads through AND this morning I kissed my horse and came away with very hairy lips. The great hair shed is about to begin.

Spring is on it's way people! :)

Also light at 7.10 here so I rode before work this week, if you watch the weather and choose your day you can still get out. Managed a 2.5 hour hack yesterday, saw it was windy forecast this morning so will ride at 4 when the forecast shows sun and winds easing, you just have to plan IMO.

Like everyone l'm bored with weather - my main field is waterlogged & the little field that mine have been on for the last two months is a mud bath around the bottom edge but like afew people have said its nothing compared to the people in Somerset have had to endure & then theres the animals & wildlife that have suffered somecof which will have been killed from drowning such as moles & water voles. I understand flooding happens but it shouldn't have gone on for this long five + weeks in water thats not receeding poor poor somerset :(

Sick and tired of it and can see no light at the end of the tunnel, I can't see us having a spring or summer, seems like it will just bet wet and nasty all year...
