May seem a little out of season, but my horse suffers from quite severe photosensitivity on all 4 legs. He's had to be stabled for the past 3 months whilst his legs heal but he is horrendously stressed from being in all this time (who can blame him).

Does anyone know of any reasonably priced leg wraps that protect from UV? They need to be lightweight and allow air to the skin (i.e. not anything like equilibrium close contact) or else his skin scabs and gets worse. Not concerned about them protecting from mud (will probably buy 2 sets and wash/rotate).

So far all I've really managed to find are these:

But seems quite expensive.

Any ideas?!

No, he's suffered from a form of Vasculitis which the vet is confident once it's gone shouldn't come back. However I cant keep him stabled any more, it's not fair on him. Figured if I could keep the light off his legs then maybe it'd be the best thing to do.

How interesting. Find the material suitable and get a seamstress to fashion some for you. Probably cheaper than horsey stuff?
