My mare has Uveitis and as far as my vet has made me aware it is not hereditary. Its an autoimmune disease where the body attacks itself in response to an infection, believed to be caused by leptospirosis on some places!
Thank you. I have heard that it is quite common in Appaloosa's giving rise to the belief that there is a possible hereditary link. I think it is an unproven. Thanks
