vaccinations ..a quickie

hi guys,
does anyone know if the annual vaccs can be given orally rather than by injection. My mare hates needles and rears and bucks etc being 16.3 and very very strong the thought of getting them done next month worries me.

I've never heard of it being taken orally but your best bet is probably to phone your vet and just inquire.

no it cannot be taken orally - as far as I am aware...

A good vet will be able to do annual jabs quickly and quietly causing a little stress as possible. It is an inter-muscle jab not into the vein. Ask your surgery if they have a vet who is paticulary good with horses who are bad for jabs... mine has one so I am sure yours will too.
