When are your horses due their vaccinations?

I only ask, because, if you forget them, it's very expensive to restart them all - so I'm hoping this reminds someone

Mine is due in October. I did nearly forget to get mine done but in my defence I hadnt had him long enough to know when he was due.
Did you forget to do yours

Make sure you make the appointment a few days in advance, in case the horse mananges to be sickening for something and is therefore not fit to be injected, would be a pain to be organised and still have to restart!
 
i have been led to believe that there is now a "life tet" jab..

a couple of Newfies i've recently bought have this...

Jsut realised I have lost my old Vaccs card for him though, has departed itself from his passport, so will prob end up starting again

all my "keepers" are due the same day, same month..no confusion..

the sell-on's don't as a rule get jabbed unless they aren't sold on in a 15 week cycle..then whoever is here has the 1st jab..

then the 2nd if still here...

then the 3rd if STILL here!

You've got a few months to find it, then...or your vets might be willing to issue another one if you've always had him done with them?

I think Phe' booster is due in the next couple of months, so yes, thanks for prompting me to go and check.

Vet is due on Tuesday to check him over after lameness so maybe she can do vacc at same time.
 
I hate to be sickeningly smug but as soon as new diary and calendar are here, the dates are filled in plus a reminder a week before they're due so I don't miss them. Also have a snazzy reminder add on with Firefox called Reminder Fox which sits in the taskbar that you can easily set to warn you; wouldn't be without that now!
 
I just read this post and thought OMG, think I have missed pony! Just checked and she is due 30th May so I am alright. Other 3 are all done in November and I always remember them fine. Thanks very much for this post shilasdair.

Ive got the last 3years vaccs on his passport, but when I got him he no passport, so had his first course on a vaccs card which stayed with his passport. However, that has gone walkies, so if I get it pulled up at BE they will want to see when he has had the first "course"

But it shows he has had 3years of boosters. The first 2 ofhis course were done in Ireland

mine is well covered. I messed up with the last leap year and ended up getting him done on the 366th day, which apparently may have been picked up on at some comps. So we started a new course, then the vets sent me an extra reminder for the 6 month booster by mistake and I didn't notice and got them to do it, so he had initial>6wk>6mth>extra 6mth then annual. oops. Expensive, but at least he's safe.
