Vaccinations

Im looking at buying a 3 year old soon and just assumed all his vacs would be up to date, however owner has just told me he hasn't had any vaccinations. Planning on turning him out in a group but will I be able to this now ? Will he have to be in isolation until vet is able to come and vaccinate him? Any info would be appreciated.

He will need a tetanus asap, but unless it is yard policy to keep new horses isolated for the protection of those already in the yard there should be no problem with getting his jabs done once you get him. I would not worry too much if he is fit and well, many horses are not flu jabbed the tetanus is more essential as they are at risk from every minor scrape.

Thanks be positive, was starting to worry a bit but that's great will just get his tetanus as soon as possible.
