My Arab who died after 29 years with me never had any melanoma's on the outside. But, they can be internal as well. A vet told me that at vetschool, whenever they autopsied a grey horse, they Always found internal melanoma's potentially causing obstructions
I still wonder if that is what caused that fatal colic on that dreadful saturday 14th May 2011 :-( when in 29 years she never had colic before.
