I am aware the price tag and buyers identity is questionable i agree but he is certainly sold unfortunately. Uthopia's ownership is in question currently so cannot be sold until we know who is the owner, there was an article on it a couple of weeks ago in horse and hound.
 
Until there is an official statement from Carl and the new owners announced I think we can assume that the transfer of ownership has not happened and no sale finalised.

The facebook page just links back to the article above, which is far from official and sounds like they are just trying to make a story!

How do you know he is definitely sold? There are always so many rumours around the sales of these top horses so I agree until he is gone it's all to be taken with a large dose of salt. I think his actual owners would also know exactly who owns what and that the issue is concerning what the tax man does/does not know as one of the susposed owners has been bankrupted so their shares would belong to those they owed money too.

Agreed. It's in the public section of the page where anyone can post anything!

Actually if that is the page I'm seeing it's the page admin - quoting the Evening Standard article which anyone coud do. I think it's just a fan page managed by a Valegro fan not a direct contact with Carl & co.
 
I don't think there is any doubt that both the horses are for sale, so not really a mistake.
It's just there seems to be a different rumour every day about who is actually buying them.
