You can feed it daily, or as required, but you need to feed for a few days to get it into their system.

It is a banned substance for competitions though.

IMO calmers only really slightly take the edge off horses, nothing will transform... It's also a case of finding which product suits your horse..

My four year old has it daily to help with spooking on hacks. I ran out of valerian root and she became terribly spooky, calmed down within a few days once back on the calmer.

Have just tried him with Clop liquid calmer which contains valerium - He wasn't impressed and wouldn't eat his tea.:(
