It totally floored my mental 17.3hh TB ex racer, but only after a few days use. We had to stop it as he was pretty much on his knees. We couldn't get a happy medium with him, ie calm in the stable (separation issues; rearing, bronking, bucking, screaming) but rideable.

I use this calmer in the winter for my horse who gets stressed being in a stable when its windy and rainy. Its worked wonders for him and begins to work in about 10/15mins I would say.

Its not competition legal though so you need to stop using it 24 hours before any comp.

ahh right well its worked for me 3 days hes been on it on the normal dose of 20-30ml and hes caught today it seems to have knocked the skitzty nervousness out of him although he had had a little freak at the flag today (its been there since he went out like haha) but i can live with a little spook here n there and some rope burn just at least i no hes safe indoors and not going to jump out onto main road again! :| haha!

hope every1 else has the same effect as it has on mine im thinking i might keep him on it as its cheaper than your normal calmer even tho it is illegal for comps, just till he gets trust n realises hes not gunna get hurt! :D

Hi I use valerian but i use it with camomile and vervain...i find the vervain and camomile tend to work great for normal every day stuff and i only add in the valerian when its something really exciting like fun rides jumping etc i find with giving the vervain and camomile everyday i only give half the reccommended dose andt then i give a half dose of valerian when needed...really keeps my 2 mares sane through seasons etc aswell.I was told that different responces to things can determine which herb would be most effective and i dont like feeding valerian on a daily basis...i think its safe to use 2 - 3 days before competion :)

hey thanks for that i use the valerian version as hes everything that they describe soon as u go near him he tenses up n his muscles go rock hard even when grooming almost like he wants to enjoy it but doesn't dare let his guard down and the calmer seems to be taking that muscles gotta tense gotta run away from him although i no they are flight animals! but now i have him inside im going to work with him do bit of join up with him to try n break them barriers and then take him off it all together with abit of luck!
