Valerian Root in tablet form? How much?

Not sure of dosage, but nature's best do it as £13.95 for 60 tablets. Check out Holland and Barrett for penny sales etc or boots 3 for 2. Price has rocketed due to this new legislation! Id personally check with a vet or independent nutritionist for dosage. Be very careful though as it's an absolute nightmare with adverse reactions etc now EVERYTHING has to be reported if it's tablets aimed at humans. It may actually be cheaper for this supplement to get a proper horse supplement! Same with milk thistle, horse chestnut, hawthorn and lots of other ones. I work for a supplement company and we sell to practitioners only really and our prices have rocketed. Costs thousands to license these products and a couple of years for the license to come through. Do Dodson and horrell do valerian? They tend to do very good supplements at very reasonable prices! I hope that makes sense, phones playing up and im getting stressed with it!

Lincoln do a valerian cordial, I would prefer to feed that in its suggest dosage if I ever needed to as opposed to human version and perhaps getting it wrong

Thanks guys. I think with the human tablets it's a bit pointless as you'd need abouy 20 at a time to get any effect.
Think I'm best with something from D&H as suggested.

Webble, do you find it helps?

Do bear in mind Valerian is a substance banned in competition. It does work - but you will be cheating if you take your horse out to any competition whilst using it. The equine valerian products do usually contain this warning on the packaging. If you compete at any level you will have to use competition safe calmers.
