Valley View Animal feeds gastric supplement and carob

Hi

Just wondering if anyone uses their products?

I have a TB who is currently on prescription gastric ulcer supplement, TB calmer and green lipped mussel. I was looking at their website for the carob supplement and wondered whether this and or their gastric calmer were any good? They seem cheaper than Naff and GH products so I was thinking may be worth a try.

Also if anyone has preference on gastric supplements please let me know

I know someone who feeds VV carob meal to their horses. I think the feed both the meal on it's own and as part of a made up feed VV make. They swear by it for putting weight on. I must say I'm not convinced - the horse in question was being fed Copra, linseed and grass nuts as well in huge quantities (bad teeth) so it could have been any of those things.

I would be very careful coming off a prescription supplement - will they tell you what is in the gastric supplement?
