I know there have been alot of posts lately about the coachbuilt masters/ movanos but what is the general opinion about the van conversions? Ive noticed they do not differ much from the coachbuilt inside, apart from the coachbuilt do look much posher and more like a horsebox and cost a few thousand more! Any comments?
Thanks

I haven't got one but have been considering one. They say they'll carry up to 2 x 16h1". I am concerned that with two in there will be a struggle to stay within the weight limit. I could be wrong but it seems more realistic to carry a couple of considerably smaller horses/ponies?

Mine's a Master conversion, it is longer inside than an Ifor Williams 505 and maybe an inch ,not even that, smaller height wise. I can fit a 16.2hh is there no problem, the only problem could be weight wise, but that's the same with any 3.5tonne lorry. At least the van conversions don't have alot of extra weight added during conversion.

I think your right as regards to the weight. I have a 14.3 welsh so I would be ok, but i cant imagine they are suitable for 2 16.1s. What companies have you been looking at? I think northernhorses.co.uk are good.
