Van Gogh or Verdi???

I'm callng upon all H&H breeders. Please help me decide between these 2 stallions. I have decided i will be using one of them on my TB mare this year but i just cannot decide which one to use

The mare is 16.2hh, great conformation, was used as an eventer up until i bought her 5 years ago and since then i have been using her solely for jumping. We have competed up to 1.30 and i'm hoping to breed my next showjumping superstar lol

So really looking for any info on either stallion - anyone know of or breed any youngstock by them, any quirks or faults anyone knows about that could help me decide would be much appreciated

I really don't have any experience of either, but was looking at Van Gogh's stud page the other day and he bowled me over. Would love to have a mare that suited that type to try him on! Let us know what you decide - your mare sounds a cracker!

See both stallions. Both were popular with mare owners in Holland last year. Verdi can be difficult in the mouth, so whether that is inherited by his offspring I am not sure. Van Gogh throws quite plain looking foals. Our Emilion mare had a Van Gogh filly last year, that had an amazing jumping pedigree on both sides. However she was plain looking at birth, although looks much better now (as we seen her at her new owners place). She also does have "spark" about her as well. She is very very correct in her limbs and conformation and showed a good attitude when put over a very small crosspole.

I would not put him onto a mare that was too lightweight because the foal will be too bloody, and dont expect him to give your foal huge movement either.
