I'd like to convert a van into a horse box capable of carrying 3 miniature horses (smallest 28" high weighing 60kg and the largest 34" weighing around 100kg)
Does anyone have any advice regarding flooring, ramps etc?
I know anything I get must have no rust, urine drainage holes etc but apart from that I'm pretty clueless!
I'm good at fitting out partitions and choosing my flooring (marine ply with rubber matting)
Any ideas? Has anyone here tried this and succeeded?!
Thanks

I would be also looking for a part conversion or abandoned project, or something already done, in this day and age, cash will buy a good safe box, or you could consider a trailer.
Do the sums first.
Try Dragon Driving. there is an oldish transit horsebox for £1100, and one with three partitions for £2250

There was a few weeks back on eBay the sweetest box all fitted out for minis with little stables inside it on one side and a corridor on the other, would have been ideal. I would be looking out for one of those to save some money. If you desperately want a new one then those sorts of ads/pics will give you some really good ideas on how others have done it.

Ill see if I can track down the ad but I think it's gone now.

I almost bought the box cos it was so sweet (I havent got any minis to put in it!!!)

Thanks. We've got nothing to tow with, plus I prefer boxes-they always seem more stable.
I've just had a look at that box, it seems perfect. I might have a look at copying that idea.
