Vanishing posts-a question

....so please don't turn this into a discussion regarding any threads!!

If you are reading a thread and go to next page and get a message saying you are not allowed to read the post-or something to that extent, does that mean its been deleted while you were reading it? and if that message comes up are you about to receieve a 'sanction' or a slapped botty from TFC???

I don't like getting told off lol and just want to check I wasn't being naughty!
 
I just had exactly the same happen to me. I was mid way through a post about another post disappearing. I wondered what I had done wrong as I have NEVER been rude to anyone. Hopefully it was because it was deleted at exactly the same time that we were viewing it
 
This happened to me yesterday, I was writing a post to a thread that then got deleted, it was deleted whilst I was writing x

I think its getting crazy on here now, posts seem to be deleted all the time, and then there are posts that get so abusive yet dont get deleted. How does that work?

I think the FatControlleR lacks consistency, clearly you now risk posts being deleted if your problem that you are seeking advice on involves any third party.

I think it is safe to say advice on horses wont be deleted as to date, no horse as yet has threatened legal action ;)
 
whether or not a post gets deleted depends on if someone pushes the button or not to alert TFC to the post, if you are going to be 'told off' you will get a pm straight away and if you are going to get a ban you will automatically be logged out and not allowed back in.

Ahhh so if no one pushes the button a post will just keep running.
Well I've never had a PM telling me off, just disappearing threads whilst trying to post to that particular thread.

Its funny but I always thought dealer threads were a real no go yet there have been quite a few in recent times and none deleted, I can only therefore presume these kept running and still exist as no one pressed the button??? x
