So, while I'm not against treating I tend to leave sarcoids alone if they're stable and not causing issues. Bon had a couple, one in front of his sheath, one that popped up on his sheath and one very close to his right eye.
The sheath one went scabby and red to a point I was getting ready to treat, but then just disappeared. So when the one near his eye did the same I watched and waited in case it got worse but didn't panic to treat. It was there last night and gone this morning.
The sheath changed when I started feeding oily herbs (still am) but nothing changed prior to the eye at all. I've heard of it happening, but not in a mature horse without at least some sort of home treatment but here we are. Id add a picture but I can't alter the size on this phone
