Strange story. Livery organised through a company (why I don't know). Company went bust and yard not paid. Owner of horse, who I believe paying through third party (curioser and curioser) takes their horse away from the yard, but passport is held by yard and then given to solicitor who refuses to release it.

Owner trys to obtain a new passport but PIO refuse as original is not lost - I think it has been stolen.

What do you think?

I have this info second hand so not absolutely sure if these facts are correct other than passport is being held by a solicitor.

Now that NEDS has gone, there's nothing to stop owner getting another passport with another issuer.

It's not legal and not what i'd do but can be done if the solicitor likes the passport that much
