vehicle to tow 2.5t+ suggestions

I need something that will tow above 2.5t, which rules out anything Skoda makes, much to my sadness Important bits are fuel economy (if possible!!) and reliability...literally no idea where to start.

Is the 2.5 tonne the actual weight which you need to tow or are you referring to the MAM of the trailer?

2.5t is the weight of what I need to tow, animals + trailer - should have clarified sorry!
