Hi Just a quick question. I am on my second pair of magnetic stable boots in a week. The first pair fell apart at the seems, and the second pair have done exactly the same. They have both broken in exactly the same place on the part that covers the underside of the fetlock; the material doesn't look strong enough to hold the stitching. I don't think I am pulling them too tight as if I make them loose they slip down. Has anyone had the same problem with this type of boot? And can anyone recommend another stable boot that will last longer than 3 days?

I can't even remember what make mine are, but they were reasonably priced and are still going strong after a year.

Why not contact the company and tell them they ahve fallen apart - I did this with a pair of WW knee boots (after having had them a year!!) and they sent me a new pair of brushing boots!!

I have these boots... mine have been worn constantly last winter and have had no issues with them - just need a good wash now!!

I have contacted the shop today who exchanged the first pair and they have asked me to bring them back again. They have to speak with their supplier to find out if they can give me a refund or a new pair of boots. I personally want full refund and will try another type of boot. Just not sure which ones are best as everyone recommends Veradus.

I think you can actually demand a full refund, never mind they are going to check?? They are not fit for purpose so you have every right to your money back.

I personally prefer Nikken magnets as the technology is much better in the actual magnet but you will have to bandage the magnet on. Bio flow are also very good btu quite pricy.

both my friend and I had exactly the same issues with ours. She returned her's and got another pair but I didn't as I didn't want my boy to go without them for 3 days and he tore his in half so I sewed them up. Hers came apart at the seam like yours. The outer material is like neoprene but much softer so certainly not robust enough to be worn overnight in a stable. I have lost count of the amount of times I have sewn my boys ones up, there's more thread than materials now. I have even had to resort to sewing patches on them where the foam has been torn and ripped out.

Having said that, they are excellent but we cannot use them with the grey inserts as they leave the legs with lines on them which a judge said to me makes my horse look like it's got mild cushins disease!! It takes a complete coat shed and re-grow to get rid of them, they look awful! It doesn't happen if you use them without the inserts we've found.

Her horse has no feather at all and very fine hair and it still hapenned to hers. Mine's a welsh so not surprised it made his hairly legs go curly...

I've been using them for almost exactly a year now without any problems - Pash has them on everynight on his hing legs (as he has a slight touch or arthritus in one of his hocks) and they've been brill.... not sure about the curly legs? I've found the Stretch & Flex boots make his legs curly looking but after a wash they go back to normal
