Many thanks for all those who told me Sorrel Warwick was good, yes, she was excellent!
Chocolate was fine in the flatwork but being only hacking fit totally ran out of steam jumping and even had a refusal, something I have never seen him do before.
Sorrel was great. made CCJ get after him in true PC manner and galloped him up and down the indoor school, then with more positive riding he jumped fine.
We have been keeping him a little fatter than usual as we had some stallion parades in mind early Spring, but he will come off so much feed and get competition mix from now on.
Super facilities at Kingston Maurward, even the loos were nice! Good surfaces and hug outdoor gel track aena to work in before going indoors.
It was over 80 miles but worth it, she was a person we would go to again.
I'm a bit knackered as the drive is one of lots of hills and gear changes, and I hate driving our narrow lanes in the box in the dark, so looking forward to a cold drink and some tv this evening.

Sounds fab! Wish I'd known, I'd have come to say hi!

I ended up not having to feed her as there was a coffee machine and there were other people, but the box was cosy and warm with the new calor gas heater so a few others enjoyed bacon sandwiches.
We took some vids which CCJ may put up, poor Chocolate was quite tired, but he will be on comp mix and do a lot more fittening work before the next session.
We just wish she were nearer, it isn't an option to use her on a regular basis , you are lucky having someone so talented available. I liked her straight from the hip advice, she told CCJ she rode beautifully on the flat but needed to be more effective over fences, said less pretty jumping style more Pony Club!!!!
She made her gallop (Choxc doesn't "do" gallop) round the long sides of the school to wake him up, and ride much harder into fences. Afterwards I explained the other horses we have are all livewires hence the sitting still and quiet technique she has developed, and she said she understood. Nice woman, and definitely knew her stuff.

Ah sounds brilliant! And that is a very good compliment from Sorrell about CCJ's flatwork, she never compliments unless she means it.
Tell CCJ to get those videos up!!
