Just had an over the moon Sportznight on the blower!

They had taken Hector to one of those British Breeding Futurity type things today at Arena UK.

Not only did he get awarded a First Premium Diploma - but he was also Top Event Yearling (from 15 or 17 - can't remember which!) scoring a massive 9.5 for conformation and type!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To top that, almost better, he had the highest marks of the day across the board!

No wonder she was pretty delirious (well, more than normal anyway!

, do you blame her?!)

She also met the stunning Spider and can now believe that he is far far better in the flesh; even with a youngster like Hector, she is drooling and can't wait for B to produce a baby Ringo now!

I'm sure pic's will be up sometime but she doesn't have internet yet so you'll have to be patient - unless of course, Bananaman took some?!

Wow thats amazing news - hope she doesn't regret cutting his knackers off now

If she is like me then yes she will at times. Whilst Chancer is no Hector, he would have made a nice if not exceptional stallion.

At the past three shows I have been at, I have had several enquiries as to whether Chancer was available to cover mares. They were looking for the bigger lighter type of GC which he is.

Had to inform them that they were removed at 15 months ago.

Then again, I could not have kept him in livery where I do and he would probably be more of a pest than he is.

Finally well done Hector and yes, I bet she does on occasion regret having them off.

As Chancer's breeder said to me, there are a lot of good stallions out there, and a gelding life is more free and fun.

Wow, that is absolutely fantastic!!!!! No one deserves it more than her!!!

A HUGE WELL DONE to Hector, SN and B. Congratulations.

I also cannot wait to see another stunning Ringo baby

Quite agree with you Theresa especially if you have to keep something in livery. Having a colt shuts a lot more doors than it does open in my experience, you can always find space for a gelding but a colt needs completely different 'space' which can be a huge complication.

Oh wow!

That's marvellous news Pat.

I am so very, very pleased for Isobel and the lovely Hector. What a wonderful day they've had.

Pictures had better arrive PDQ!

Absolutely agree with you both. When I brought Chico over from Spain, even though he was a Spanish Stally who was more than happy with mares around, I had to leave my yard and go elsewhere, and then I ended up having him cut for ease of life - I do not regret that and I am sure SN may have moments of regret but in the long term it was the right thing to do

Wow!! Really pleased! Now is'nt B back in foal to the same stallion so there is always a chance next year to keep one entire!

Sorry, no photos but the pro ones should be online later this morning.

It was lovely to meet Hector,Sportznight and her team, inc lucky mascot!
Hector thoroughly deserved the marks he got....he looks every inch the potential event horse.

Spider too was awarded a First premium Diploma but was a bit wound up yesterday.
I'm hoping it was because he was attacked by the loose colt at last weeks BD Champs and that he'll forget the incident in time.

SN was that excited she didn't tell me that, sorry BUT she was drooling over him big style!

But very well done to you both. Hope he forgets and enjoys himself in future, it's horrid when they've had a shock and it wasn't their fault either.

Thank you everyone and apologies to you Bananaman!! I don't really remember a lot of any conversations I had that day - I've since been to A&E and I'm off work with concussion and whiplash - luckily nothing broken, but my face is BEAUTIFUL - NOT!! There are no pics - sorry guys - it didn't even occur to me to get the camera out - but then I was concussed
