Me and charlie went out to a little ODE today, the weather was set to be nice so i was really looking forward to it.
First up was the dressage, our weakest phase, but none the less he put in quite a good performance despite being slightly fresh. We only had one little mistake where he did a flying change not long before our downward transition in canter, i think he was showing off!!
Anyways off to the showjumping, a nice little height for him but i thoguht he may knock a few as he was feeling quite lazy. But as we got in he suddenly perked up and was on his toes! He had a few skids due to our lack of control but put in a lovely clear.
I found out afterwards that i had a dressage score of 39.6 which left us about 5th or 6th but his clear showjumping put us into 3rd.
Next we set off on the xc course feeling optimistic as this is definately our strongest phase. He flew the whole course beautiful despite getting a little excited at the start in the box!!
We then had to wait a little while for the results and it turned out we had come 2nd!!! The highest i've ever had at a ODE was 5th!! So i was very chuffed and pleased to recieve my rosette and purple bucket and haynet!
I love my little muley and it's not bad for a 19 year old!!
