First of all my TB who was off for 9 months with spavin and back issues is having his shoes back on today. This is hugely exciting because we weren't sure whether he'd come right but he's better than ever and vets can't see anything wrong with him anymore. He's fairly highly strung in the stable. Last year he would weave and weave and then roll as soon as he got in his box. Now he just ambles in, starts eating hay and sunbathing with his head out of the door. I think he's finally got out of racehorse mentality and has seen the light!!
Secondly because my 5 year old who hunted all season is out naked today in his field. Its a total suntrap and he is so chilled out. Its so lovely to see him totally relax and switch off when on holiday and just be a horse not to mention wading in the river and playing with the water (gravel bottom, not very deep and beautiful clear water).
Its a beautiful spring day - the grass will come on in leaps and bounds and life is just great!!
