Just been looking at the Barnsby ads, they clain Xtreem is 3.5kg, I wonder how this compares with other lightweight saddles.

We have an Albion legend 5000 LW XC saddle that I will weigh.

Does anyone else have a LW saddle that will weigh for me?

Need to save every ounce that little W has to haul around a XC course.

I am amazed that wintec/thorowogood haven't made an ultra-lightweight xc saddle yet. or, if they have, i've missed it!
the Jeffries Flyover was very light when I handled one, didn't really seem to catch on though. "less than 5 kilos" apparently.

I'm pretty sure mine is lighter than my trainers butet....(and way cheaper!)

i will weigh it later

My sister has the Jeffries Flyover - brilliant saddle. No idea about the weight though.

I have an Albion lightweight something or other - mine is quite a lot heavier than the Jeffries.

Ha - I've ridden in your sister's saddle! Bit like a race exercise saddle - a seat and not much else. I liked it, but I'm used to minimum saddlery for jumping.

My mark todd which is very old is lighter than the barnsby saddle. I picked up the extreme yesterday at blenheim thinking it would be feather light and it wasn't. i find the stirrups, leathers and girth make a huge weight difference!

I think the problem I will find is the W will be a MW going on W and these saddles will come in MW max.

We use a comfort zone stud girth which is lighter than the leather ones and also a comfort zone hexagon pad which is way lighter than prolite

Oi re. the second hand one

Thistle, the Barnsby is a lovely lovely saddle, there are alot of features in it which IMO make it a very definite one to look at....
