Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!

My very naughty 2yr old has decided that it's a great game to pull all of the white electric fence posts out of the ground to "free" her chubby sidekick from his strip of paddock. I've cribboxed the top of the posts but to no avail..... Trying to put the poles back into concrete ground is near on impossible and chubby sidekick is getting chubbier!!

silly question I know but is the electric on? you could wrap the tape around the top of the post which should give the youngster a bit of a shock..

Yes the electric is on!! She's been zapped by it several times but knows that the top of the posts are fair game. Thought about a grazing muzzle but he'd still have to be in his section at night as they shouldn't be worn the whole time (apparently!)

get some live cattle stakes. like this, they are to stop cattle pushing them over. You probably won't need them for every stake, I would get one pack and dot them in, I suspect one she has tried it once that will be a put off!

you can get insulators that will fit on them at varying heights to hold a second line.

Importantly do check how well your line is working though, in this very dry weather earthing (well lack of!) can be a problem

my suggestion (after a few minutes thinking and a cup of tea) is to use that Rugstop spray or a deterrant spray to stop puppies chewing furniture on the top of the posts. Or even that Stop n Grow nail biting solution.

It'll ruin his little tricks pretty damn quick :D

The nail grow stuff is a brilliant idea - it worked on stopping my sister from sucking her thumb many years ago!
I might be able to find some of those hotline poles on the farm - good plan!
Feel slightly mean stopping her tricks - I'm sure she'll think of something else. When I got the pony back into his section, Daisy picked up the lead rope I'd put on the ground and cantered off with it in her mouth. She really is so naughty, but so loveable with an unreal sense of humour!

she won't be too happy once she tastes that stuff, poor girl ! But I guess you have to stop it even if it will ruin her life for - oooooooo - at least a week, lol. x

I find a strong chilli powder paste smeared onto whatever you don't want nibbled/chewed (or pulled up in your case!) does the trick - suitably shocking to the taste buds but quite harmless!!;)

Fab - in fact, I had a problem with RATS chewing and whilst the poison was getting to work I smeared everywhere they had chewed with Daves Insanity Sauce - that soon stopped them from chewing. I will introduce Daisy to Dave this evening!! Useless fact - birds do not have a reaction to chilli hence it's often added into bird seed to stop squirrels, rats etc from tucking in.
