Very odd....

Put a rug on Moon yesterday for the first time this winter as she got a bit chilly with the sleet. Decided that as she was a bit soggy and sweaty after I'd ridden her to put her thermatex on and then a lw to over the top. Fine, left anice comfy snuggly pony.

Went back this morning to remove the thermatex but leave the lw on and the thermatex has gone

I double checked I'd done it up etc and it was a good fit.
Looked around the field but couldnt see anything. Last resort is to ask owner of the field just in case she has seen it/took it off.

Very bizarre- if it has gone then thats a lot of money just disappeared!!

Most likely explanation is that it slipped round, someone noticed and took it off. Hopefully YO can shed some light.

Umm, Im with B&J Im sure it slipped off (they have a wonderful way of doing this) and someone has picked it up and put it somewhere - or unfortunately someone has picked it up and decided to keep it for themselves

We found our old horse standing naked in the field last year - his rug on the ground - every single strap and buckle still done up (It was a turnout rug - with leg straps etc.) and no damage to either him or the rug... was very strange...

they do seem to be able to wriggle out of things sometimes...

It's the rug pixies - they tend to come out at this time of year and cause havok amongst the rugs!!

I hate thermatexs' with a passion as under rugs, those stupid roko buckles never stay done up unless you loop them around again.
Have had a horse with it get loose then get into the chest muscles, about 2" deep. For the price they are whats wrong wth buckles!!

my friends horse managed to squeeze out of his full neck turnout without undoing a single buckle! he looked very pleased with himself afterwards!

naa i think she's probably swapped it for a few nets of Haylage hehe (and they have to pig out as you need to use a bag within 48 hours of being opened )
