Sorry to gloat and it seems to little but i took my 3 yr old to her first show today for look round it also her first time out in lorry. she loaded and travelled very well first time, had 5 mins looking round bit wide eyed while to got her tacked up, i hopped on and she stood perfectly then walked rouns the show, into practice ring and had 5-6 ponies trotting anc cantering past her all ways and screaming over jumps and mother shouting and she had walk and trot round for half aan hour then walked round show on loose rein (buckle end) then stood like a gem at the lorry while we got untacked and ready to come home and then loaded first time and didnt hear a peep all the way home. I have backed her myself and she has been ridden for 2 months and i think she did very well today. loud speakers, bells, etc all coped with very well.

She sounds very calm! :)
Did you get any pics?

Off topic but just out of curiosity does the show etc have any insurance for people riding a 3yo on the showground as most schedules says that horses must be over 4yo if ridden?

we did check but it doesnt say anything about age on the rules and regs or anywhere else. no pics as onnly me and a helper who took her 2 girls and shetland. was only very local show unaffiialted but 20 or so trailer and few boxes there. so busy enough for first outing. they do showing also and have young horses classes so assume they are o.k. she is now enjoying few days off slumming in the field.
