My friend used to ride with me when we were about 8, then she has ridden every now and then since but has never had a proper lesson or anything.
She has done pairs XC with me today on my mums horse (who is a total star), there were some pretty decent fences in it and we decided we'd go for it.
Probably a bit of a mistake because Caffrey took a really tight turn after a fence following Badger and she fell off!! I think it hurt quite a lot!
Never the less she jumped on, the next fence was the biggest on the course but she got on with it and we finished the rest clear.
I just think she was really brave to have a go in the first place and especially to get back on and finish. Plus she looked a much better rider than half the people there who must have been a lot more experienced.
