Well, seems I have sold the horsebox already to the first person who came to look! Result! But have said I will deliver to her for cost of fuel and just double check both her horses fit, which I am 99.9% sure they will.
So I am taking it over there later on and wondered, is there anything particular I should put on the reciept? Or is the following ok?
Describe the box, reg number, colour etc
My name and address as vendor,
Purchasers name and address
"Reciept for sale of horsebox described above, sold as seen, for sum of £****, paid on 9th December 2009"
And then we both sign?

Anything else or is that ok?

I'm no expert on this at all, but I guess you could also record the mileage on the receipt (although I don't think it's crucial). The important words you have already included and they are "sold as seen".

We have just sold a box privately and asked Horseboxworld for the same advice: There web site is www.horseboxworld.com (But we rang them), Our Horsebox invoice stated our name and address the buyers name and address, the price paid, no warranty given or implied, the MOT date, Taxed until and the mileage. then signed and dated by both parties.
