Following on from the incident in which I threw a stone at a horse known to be a spiteful kicking bee-atch who once broke another horse's leg, and exchanged words with her owner (he invited me to do something revolting and intimate to his giblets, and then not only questioned the legitimacy of my birth but made some VERY rude and disrespectful references to my mother) - I called him a big fat coward (used stronger language, obv) I found out today he lodged a complaint, asking that I be thrown off yard and banned from whole residential complex. Interestingly he didn't mention the abuse he hurled at me, or bother to clarify that the stone didn't actually hit his horse.... C tried to reason with him, pointing out that aside from the coward jibe (which he was living up to MOST admirably) I'd not insulted him personally at all, and that his behaviour has, throughout, been far worse than mine (especially considering he's a cheap git who won't even provide pevidone for his horses so I've been treating his free of charge on the grounds that horses can't help the eejits who own them...)
ANYWAY the upshot of this is that he's in fact shot himself in the foot because I was supposed to start work on Monday as groom while Luis is on holiday. However, as I have a complaint against me, I'm not allowed to work, Fabian is off as he's working all weekend and they can't get anyone to do the horses. SO I shall be going on Monday and mucking out PF and A, and probably BOF's 2 aswell and then shooting off home.
I'll probably relent and feed and water all the other because I'm not the unspeakable turd and bully that this other chap is, but horses will remain in stables all day.
I thought i'd mention the bullying because, for a brief period, a young mexican lad was being shown the ropes to cover for the boys. However, boy was clearly not up to the task, appearing to be rather slow and dopey. It emerged that he was quite heavily drugged to prevent convulsions since he caught encephalomyelitis (sp?) and spent god knows how long in a coma. Anyhoo, it was apparent that this chap wouldn't be up to the task of looking after horses, not least because he just didn't have the experience (or reflexes!) WHO do you think picked on him telling him he was no good, until he was nearly in tears?????

God, I hate bullies!!! And he always picks on those least able to defend themselves; me because I don't own a property there, so have the least rights of anyone at the yard, and the mexican boy because he wasn't playing with a full deck...
I WILL be composing a letter of counter-complaint...

What a complete pain. Bloke sounds like a complete arse with little willy symdrone to me. Good luck with your counter complaint. Could you be kicked off?

Oh crumbs

. Life is always "exciting" in Argentina......must be all that Latin blood

.

I am sure you will do your complaint letter justice.

The more I read about some of the people you have to deal with, the more I admire your patience. Especially as you have to watch the horses suffer because of the stupidity of these people.

I am pleased to see you are writing a letter yourself. It's almost laughable that you have to do it, though. I will wait for your report that this man has had his comeuppance one fine day.

Good for you girl!!

You are blooming good at sticking up for yourself, I'm proud of you

Horrible turd man will get his "Just deserts"!!

Thanks, yes, he IS a complete arse (to put it mildly) I could be kicked off if he had a legitimate complaint (which he doesn't) and possibly if C hadn't actually been present and witnessed the whole scene.
Frankly at this stage I will be sorrier to leave the grooms (am SERIOUSLY thinking of head-hunting Fabian if I DO have to leave) than the yard itself (facilities only so so) or people on it.

God I hope he gets what he deserves, nasty piece of work. Good luck with complaint letter!

Fortunately (I suppose it IS fortunate in a way) he's known to be a bully and trouble maker. However, he is STILL a resident, and I'm not, and the way he tells things, he makes me out to be some mad horse beater, which obviously I'm not!!

Hmmm, latin blood.. In this case I REALLY think he's not quite right in the head! I mean, from what I've heard his entire hostility towards me stems from the fact that I buy extra shavings to ensure PF's bed lasts a full month, and the fact that I put up a little pen with my own electric fencing and tape...

PF, don't let a guy who is just trying to make up for a small willy get you down

Men like him may think that they rule but somewhere down the line it will sort itself out- with you on top. Bullying can get results only for a short while but keep yourself above him and people will stick by you when it matters.

Good for you for fighting back - I hope you win!!!!

Thanks, I hope so too, but then again... I'll still have to see the barsteward when I go to the yard and who knows when it'll start again... Am seriously considering carrying a small taperecorder at all times for when he lets rip at me again...
