Very very proud of my best friend tonight :-)

My best friend has had a horrible year, she has ongoing serious back and heart problems and in two weeks time goes in for yet more major surgery to her spine. She also lost her pony a month ago who she'd owned for nearly twenty years (she was 37 when she was put down) so you can imagine how heartbroken my friend has been.

This afternoon, even though she was nervous and it isn't particularly comfortable for her, she hacked out on a mutual friends mare who is bombproof and will look after her. I know how much of a effort it is for my friend to even get on at the moment but she is determined to carry on riding as it's what keeps her going.

Just feeling very proud of her really, and hope if she gets through this next op ok, she can find another pony of her own to love xxxx
