Vardi has been in the UK for two weeks now (feels like a lifetime!)

And he has taken to it like a duck to water!

Here are some extracts of the e-mails that Kelly has been sending me;

Wednesday 13th July

"Can you tell me where he learnt to untie knots?

Every morning he has untied the knot to his gate and opened it and decided to go into the smaller boys field [I do not think they mind, he wants them all to be mates and a herd together]. We have now put a lock on the gate, unless he is also a safe cracker he should be in his own paddock this morning, but who knows.

He is a real character and he is starting to show that now, which is a further sign he has settled down well."

And proving that my friend is as bonkers as me!

Wednesday 20th July
Hello Mummy,
Just thought I would let you know how i'm getting on!!!!
I haven't managed to unlock the gate yet!!:(

I'm now working and auntie Kelly said I was such a good boy being ridden in the school today that she said I can have my boots on and go out on a hack tomorrow!!!!!!! :) (is a hack a good thing?)

Love Vardi xxxx

Hi Hi,
It comes to something when you can't use the computer because the horse is using it! ha ha.

He is now sound so we have started to work him so far this week he has been lunged which he can do standing on his head not literary!! thank god! lol, and has been schooled in English tack!!!!

I have taken some pic's of him working but I'll have to ask dad to email them to you later. He has been so good the plan is to take him out hacking tomorrow! I will let you know how he gets on!?

And finally yesterday 21st July
"Well what a star your boy is!!!!! He has had his boots on and just returned from his first English hack, he had his ears forward all the way round and didn't look at a thing!!!! He was so laid back that Laura has had to have a sit down as he made her use her leg! lol"

and here is a pic she took of him working for first time in English tack (he has been ridden western for the last 2 years)

He is doing so well that Kelly has asked if her senior instructor can work with him and take him along to the Indoor Dressage season this year, so any Kent bods if you see a large spotty assed horse at one of these events it is himself!

Guess which owner can not wait to get back to kent in August to hack out her Spotty assed chap through some stunning countryside....oh that would be me:-)))))
