Please let me know any makes you have found in very wide fitting short boots - take a EEE or wider if poss - as my old ones have decided to give up completely. Yard boots too.
I am o.k. for long boots thanks.

TIA all.

Thanks Marley, but unfortunately larger size does not work as then I trip over the toes as too long - tried the idea before. Pleeeeeze can anyone one else help with this, there must be other peeps with very wide feet. My old ones were too narrow really to be comfortable.

I wear ariats and find the lace up version gives me the space I need.

As for muckers, can only suggest going to the shop and trying on a selection. Find certain models of each brand work, rather than a specific brand.

I havevery wide feet and find that the Mountain Horse Mountain Riders give me far more room than my Ariat Cobalt Pros. Ariat use a fairly narrow last for that boot but do have a wider last that they use for some of the winter boots with the rounder toe, plus I'm not sure what they make now but they had a boot called a Heritage that had a squarer toe box and looked much wider.

Thanks for all the info and will try these types first. I can only get my 'ordinary' shoes on-line from the Shoe Tailor or Wide Feet, have given up trying in shoe shops. Had a lovely ride out yesterday, bracing in the wind and rain.

What size are you? I once bought a small men's size by mistake, and they were brilliant as they come up wider in relation to the length so I could fit multiple socks on in the winter, but I think they start at about 7 so no good for little feet.

I went shopping today and had no luck with 'proper' jodhpur boots but managed to get two wide pairs of muckers I can ride in as well. One by Mountain Horse called GroomIt in a 39. the pair I got are laced and there is a velcro version as well, but the shop did not have the velcro ones in my size. Also a velcro pair by Woof called Short Boots in a ladies 6. So these particular varieties equate to a EEE, for info for anyone else with wide feet. They are both fur lined as well, which I have never worn before, so that might be interesting when the summer eventually arrives, - v.v.hot and sweaty wide feet.

I found ariat to be quite narrow but I have the mountain horse short boots with the steel toe cap and they are lovely and wide, look for a half size bigger to give you even more room.

If you have smallish feet try children's boots as they are normally wider, or if you have bigger feet try men's.

I have an assortment of tuffas, yard boots I have a pair of harry hall santos which have been going for the last.. err.. 9 years and are used as my walking boots. I don't think they make them anymore though :(
