Has anyone had a dog with this? Did the dizziness resolve itself?

My 12 year old Springer is on her second bout of vestibular problems in a month. Today’s vet went to the Propalin she’s on as a possible cause so checked her blood pressure and it was very high. Obviously the only way to tell is to take her off Propalin and get her blood pressure checked next week, once it’s out of her system. Given that the vet thinks a small bleed is the most likely cause, I’m concerned that it’s done permanent damage. I suppose I can only wait and see but wondered if anyone else has been through this.

Yes I had one with vestibular syndrome - not sure exactly how old she was when she had the first episode, maybe 12 ish as she was a rescue. She was in kennels at the time as I was on holiday, but seen by her usual vet who assured me she would be fine in about a week or two, they kept her as an inpatient for me, she was on meds for a while afterwards but recovered and was getting up and down stairs in about a month. Had a second episode about nine months later which didn't look good but at the 11th hour, after about four days she suddenly perked up and lived for another year. She did have a slight head tilt but was happy wandering round and could move very quickly if she heard that food may be available!

my 14 yr old Jrt has had two vestibular episodes recently, about a fortnight apart ...the last one being worse . He had a head tilt with the last one, which lasted several days but has had no lasting effects and is totally fine now and on no medication. The only trigger I can think of was a fall down the stairs.
