Vet and physio came today

To be honest though I've only really felt it doing trot work so its reassuring to know from a qualified opinion that he is sound in hand in walk & trot. Since the 'hopping' only shows up when ridden in trot vet decided physio should do a deep session under sedation. Poor Orkan looked like me on a Friday night swaying all over the place. Luckily physio was able to do pelvic stretches and all manner of scary looking stretches (popping and cracking!) to loosen him off. She was pleased with how he loosened off especially in the right sacrolilic area which is where he was very tight.

So now 1 week of bute, 1 week of long reining then vet and physio coming to check him and do another session then a bit more rest.... Then just maybe I can ride again! Hoping to have a nice walk hack on Xmas day. Oh fingers crossed the lameness was his back and all these treatments are working. I wish there was a definitive answer but its such a waiting game with horses

Thanks DM - well its certainly not too negative & I hope he continues to improve and we don't need bone scans. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but its really good he is sound in hand so definitely points to back issue as well as him being incredibly tight there.

Aiming for hacking soon then fingers and toes and hair crossed for dressage early next year.
