Vet brought cough?

My horse has developed a nasty cough. He hasn't been near another horse for ages, nor have I for that matter.

However, a vet came last Tuesday to take a blood sample. Could she have brought it?

Obviously I have started soaking his hay (it could have been a dusty bale of hay), but would this be possible?
