The go ahead. I can breed from Hattie next year. So Stallions...
This is Hattie.
15.3hh, 10" of bone, pure Irish cob. Will be 12yr old next year but has been told she has bred a foal before. Want a lighter version of her. Temperament is very important. Has to be AI'd as will kill other mares.

Our favourite so far is:

Icon, 15.3hh Lusitano x arab, 10yrs old. Intermediate eventer, NaSTA tested. Very local to me. AI only.

Any other ideas welcome. Not to expense though as first foal with us.

that sounded rude, it wasn't meant to! Just trying to picture the two lol. I *think* my old cob went away in foal to young arab and the two seenmed odd mix.
Bet it would be pretty amazing though, parents being one fine, t'other cobby

LOL I no what you mean I can't imagine it either. But I'm hoping to get a skewbald with a finer build then Hattie.

I want a lighter breed, a riding club/hunter type. But after this one she is going to Traditionals. Thanks for the links, will put them of the future stallions list.

Oh No.5 Little Joe is my friends Stallion, he is gorgeous with a fantastic temperament! No AI though and probably a little heavier then you are after. What about a nice WB cross??????

Have a look on Google at Drumcross Spurs - small coloured ISH stallion - AI available. My own horse is by his sire Crossdrum Spurs and all the ones I have seen are nice horses.

The lady that owns Icon is called Suzanne - her parents own a circus. Icon is a lovely horse

I used to own a Coloured x Arab, he was lovely to look at, I'll scan you a photo tonight might give you an idea what yours will turn out like.

with the palamino stallion id be worried you would end up with something with a massive neck and not much else. Its got a big neck as it is, and do has your mare - so both of them combined might make it slightly too big? I think his legs and rest of the body would work ok tho.

My mare is going into foal next year and ive spent ages (with my trainer) finding the perfect stallion to help minimalise her 'faults' (not that the neck on either of those is a fault, just something i wouldnt want to exentuate if you get what i mean)....

I considered Icon for my mare - eventually went with something else.

Personally I'd be inclined to put her to a TB. There are some lovely ones around:

Rovirs - Devon
Lord David S
No Submission (small and correct) - Devon also

If I think of anymore I'll put them up.

SallyF who posts on here also has two nice stallions - although I have to say I prefer one in particular High Tension - Full TB.
