I am looking for a vet in Chester, I was thinking Thomason & Walters. Does somebody use them? What do you think? Which one do you prefer Paul or Tom?

Thank you

Hi, Sorry not heard of that one but i've not lived in Chester for a while. We used to use Rose Cottage nr runcorn and Leahurst nr Liverpool (this one is part of the university and has the big hospital with some of the top vets in country)

We use T&W. Not ever had W but had T and usually get Sophie out for routine jabs etc. T is a good vet but his bedside manner can leave a lot to be desired IMO!! Wouldn't touch Rose Cottage these days, not competitively priced and heard too many bad stories now!.

Depending which side of Chester, there is also Hampton, near Malpas that would cover that area (01948 820345) or two vets from there have struck out on their own, working out of near Wrexham and they are both excellent but don't have their number, it might come up with google. Leahurst practice is good and as someone said, they have the full back up of the main centre too.

T&W unfortunatly do not take new clients. I have just call them.
Any orher suggestions?
Thank you for your help

I'd go with Brown Moss in that case. A lot of people on my yard use them and rate them and what I've seen of them I've liked. I'd ask for Georgie.

I have Ashbrook. I'm the only one on my yard who uses them but I've been with them for years and never had any complaints.

I 2nd hampton veterinary group at hampton.

Both ray williamson and brian hallows are excellant horse vets. All my friends use them too, they have been my lifesafers.

Another vote for Hampton, have used them for years for all my animals. They also aren't too expensive compared with some, they have recently brought in a "zoning" scheme whereby they do one area on a particular day for routine things like vaccs and it is a reduced visit charge. Can't be bad
