I used to work at an equine vets...what do you need to know about microchips...?

Is that Riverside Vets, Bishopstoke, Eastleigh? If it is, the stud that stands my filly's sire used to use them but changed to Animed as they were so very expensive. Apparently they started charging by the minute for visits . . . . . Whereabouts do you want a vet?

...normally written down in your passport, or the vet can scan your horse for the number and you can ring defra who will have your details/ or horses.....defra will instruct you or know who you can call to sort the problem....might have to confirm who you are but that about it really...

Mildmay dont deal with horses anymore i used to be with them, they recommended stable close to me when they stoped they are near winchester they are very good here is their website.

Maybe I didn't mis-read in the first place, if you are looking for reccommendations then I am also with Stable Close and think they are fab.

Endell Vets in Salisbury are very good, but as people have said there are probably very good vets nearer to you than that.

we have used Riverside in the past, and found to be expensive. Would definately recommend Endells in Salisbury, we used them for years when i still lived at home and we were on the south side of Romsey so there were others that were technically closer...

Endells is technically closer to me and I use Stable Close. Used to use Endells...

I used to use them, the senior vet was excellent but the rest were staright out of college and clueless.

Note I said 'I used to use them' because I think that speaks for itself. I use Liphook Equine Hospital now and am very happy with them.
