I was enraged by this too, and it was actually my director that read it to me. My first question was 'is this a joke?'. He said no and I started ranting. And then 5mins later he rather sheepishly told me it was! Lol- should've known he was lying!

Yeah, I just read a friends post about it on her wall, a very trustworthy horsewoman, and she put a link up. I just copied the link here...then read it and realised. I probably would have questioned it more if it weren't for who it was I read it from, but you never know.

A vet lost his ram inside a cow once I think...frozen contraction or something, so I may have believed it anyway as stranger things have happened!!! :)

While we had a laugh at that, it is most assuredly a work of fiction (vet friends of mine tell me that they don't really use Ketamine anymore). But funny.

I saw this earlier on Facebook lol, although years ago my mums (neurotic) mare when down with suspected colic. The vet doped her to the point where she was practically falling over, and put his arm in to examine her and she suddenly woke up and took off round the stable with his arm still inserted! She nearly broke his arm and he told mum if she ever got colic again he would put her down lol! Also turned out it wasn't even colic and she was fine lol
