I have found a suitable horse and have paid a deposit subject to the usual vetting; so can anyone please recommend me a suitable vet/practice in the Pulborough, West Sussex area).
Many thanks.

Third Alistair at Anvil lol! He did a 5 stage vetting on my horse when I sold him last year. He did a very thorough exam and was good with my horse.

Thank you all for recommending Anvils, but should I use the same vet. They currently use Alastair McVicar.
Do you know how much they charge for a 5 stage + bloods and final flu vac for Bury area.
Thanks again - much appreciated

Doh should have known they would use him as they are so close, he really is superb.

States on their site 5* vetting £190

You have get quote for blood (guess it depends what you want testing).

Can't remember what I last paid for vax, sorry.

Arundel Equine, Stuart Wallis is really good and I think it's his area. He's my vet and I'd recommend him anytime. Good luck. :) x

I would use Mayes and Scrine - Ben Mayes is excellent, so is Judy Scrine but then again am happy with all the vets there.

My friend used Alastair at Anvil and he was great. The owners use him as their normal vet but it was an advantage to my friend as they will not vet a clients horse unless the client is prepared to release full clinical history.

He was very thorough and it cost £195 + £37 for the bloods to be taken and stored for 6 months.

My friend was very pleased with him and how well he explained everything to her after the vetting and talked her through the horses history.

Oooohh i purchased my horse in Pulborough last summer. Sounds like your prob buying from the same place i did!!!

Alistar at Anvil, yes that is their own vet but he was extremly thorough and 8 months on my horse is fit as a fiddle! Really nice guy too!
